Transformers Revenge of the Fallen

The highly anticipated Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was a big summer movie success for 2009. To the delight of fans, many movie toys have followed in its wake just like they did with the first movie. This time around Hasbro has taken innovation further producing more toys like their big-screen counterparts with more characters to collect.

Hasbro has big plans for its range of Transformers 2 toys, games and all-new action figures that will please older boys as well as younger kids. The new release of products this time around will include Mech Alive in Hasbro’s Deluxe, Voyager and Leader action figures.

Deluxe, Voyager and Leader

When buying Transformers toys for the first time you will notice certain “classes” in Hasbro’s toy line namely Deluxe, Voyager and Leader. Anyone new to the range and wish to start collecting Transformers 2 Toys may choose to stick to one category so as to keep their collection to the same scale. On the other hand, collecting from different classes means you don’t get to miss out on any spectacular figures.

Basically, the classes relate to the size of the model, the complexity and gimmick value; which in turn is reflected in its price tag. Out of these, the Deluxe Class figures which make up the bulk of the movie toy releases are the least intricate and are the smallest size followed by the Voyager series.

Voyager class figures are more advanced than Deluxe and twice as big. The Leader Class range is the largest out these three types and is more complex with detailed transformation. As a rough guide to price, the Deluxe models are around £10, Voyager £20 and the Leader £40. These are not the only class types there are also ultra, supreme, scout and the legends classes.

Prices of Transformers 3 toys will be competitive among retailers especially now the furore of the summer movie is over and there will be bargains to be found, although popular characters like Optimus Prime will always sell out no matter what price.

Class figures

All of the above Class Figures include a feature known as Mech Alive. This technology allows you to see moving parts in the figure’s body when certain parts are moved including visible moving gears in transformation.

The same core character figures will be available along with role-playing toys like the Bumblebee Voice Mixer helmet and Bumblebee’s Plasma Cannon that’s fits over the arm.

Fans of the film can act out their favourite scenes by collecting from an array of movie toys on offer for hours of fun with friends. They can recreate battles between good guys, the Autobots along with the bad guys, the Decepticons to see who gets hold of the mysterious artefact that will give them the power to rule the world.

Younger fans of Transformers will enjoy the Fast Action Battlers. These Deluxe sized figures are easy to transform and are more toy-like with great play value. Quick conversion means the figures can go from robot to vehicle mode in a flash.

Here is a description of the new Lego Board Game, Ramses Pyramid with an explanation on how to play, how many players and age suitability.

How to Play Ramses Pyramid

The setting of this game is Egypt and the Mummy King Ramses is gathering forces. He and his army of mummies are preparing to conquer all of Egypt. You must try and stop them either on your own or with other players and claim victory over Ramses Pyramid. But before the game can begin you have to build it which is just as much fun as playing the game!

Roll the unique buildable Lego dice and let the game commence! The aim is to unlock the crystal coded layers to climb to the top of the pyramid; players collect crystals as they move around the board. You start to climb the pyramid using the coloured crystals to gain access to each level.

LEGO INSTRUCTIONS

If you find you haven’t the right colour to gain entry look under the domes then replace them in another position. This is where the memory element comes into the game and your opponents try to remember where the coloured crystal is housed.

You are also able to block the other player’s progress by placing mummies in their path or moving the crystals. Full Lego instructions explain how once you have reached the top glory is nearly yours. It’s your chance now to defeat the enemy Mummy King and take his crown and steal all his treasure.
